Tourism on Bicycle
The steep lands of Lleida are one of the most suitable places for the practice of the so called cycle-tourism. It is not necessary to be a professional cyclist. It is enough to have the desire and the wish of enjoying all of the marked circuits that are proposed by the boards of tourism of the different regional councils.
There are 15 itineraries of 10 to 49 kilometres. The regional council of La Segarra proposes the route of the castles of La Segarra, a journey between medieval towers and fortresses. In the regions of the plain, we can also enjoy the mountain bike in a series of natural environments. In La Seu d'Urgell, we have the Parc del Segre. In the city of Lleida itself, the board of tourism offers routes over the paths of the farm, the Mitjana; the leisure park-zone of Les Basses d'Alpicat; the park on the left side of the Segre river; the routes of the Channel of Urgell; without forgetting the permanent mountain bike circuit of the mountain of the Pla de la Font, with marked tracks depending of the level of difficulty. All of these spaces, together with the ski tracks when there is no snow, offer countless possibilities to the cyclist.
