Cal Mestre
One enters to the house through a porch that is shared with "Ca La Maestra". Through the hall we enter to a big zone occupied by the kitchen, the dinning room, a hall equipped with chimney and a big double bedroom with a bathroom incorporated. From the dinning-living room one has access to a spacious terrace, which has a staircase that leads to the garden. It is an exterior space with exit to a street situated on an inferior level. In the garden we find a barbecue, firewood and a room for the washing machine and a place to dry clothes.
Going back to the dinning-living room we go up to the first floor, where we find three double bedrooms with bathroom. On the second upper floor we find a big suite, with an incorporated bathroom and splendid views. The house is completely equipped, is very luminous and spacious and has exceptional views of the other houses and the surroundings of Montclar.
Note: The historical centre of the town of Montclar that is around the castle was strongly damaged during the bombardments of the Civil War. Once the war was over, the restoration of this historical centre started, repairing a part of the castle on one side, and on the other, the former weapons courtyard. The schools, the city hall and the abbey, where the rector of the town lived, were built. Besides that, four more houses were built to be inhabited by the secretary of the town council, the doctor, and the male and female teachers. It is worthy saying that during those times boys and girls were separated in the school.
These four houses have been recently renovated and modernized. They have been equipped with all the services and comforts, and constitute the group of houses of "Cases del Castell", with a total capacity for 40 persons.
