Cal Metge
In the hall of the ground floor we find a toilet and a staircase that leads to the upper floors. From the same hall we enter to an ample zone occupied by the kitchen, the dinning room, a hall with a barbecue and an individual bedroom. From the dinning-living room one has access to a spacious terrace, which has a staircase that leads to the garden. It is an exterior space with exit to a street situated on an inferior level, at the posterior part of the houses. The garden has a barbecue, firewood and a room for the washing machine and a place to dry clothes.
Going back to the dinning-living room, we go up to the first upper floor where we find, to the right, a bedroom with an incorporated bathroom and an attic equipped with an individual sofa-bed. On the same floor there are two more bedrooms that share one bathroom. The second floor is occupied by a double bedroom with an incorporated bathroom. From every part of the house one can enjoy exceptional views of the surroundings of Montclar.
Note: The historical centre of the town of Montclar that is around the castle was strongly damaged during the bombardments of the Civil War. Once the war was over, the restoration of this historical centre started, repairing a part of the castle on one side, and on the other, the former weapons courtyard. The schools, the city hall and the abbey, where the rector of the town lived, were built. Besides that, four more houses were built to be inhabited by the secretary of the town council, the doctor, and the male and female teachers. It is worthy saying that during those times boys and girls were separated in the school.
These four houses have been recently renovated and modernized. They have been equipped with all the services and comforts, and constitute the group of houses of "Cases del Castell", with a total capacity for 40 persons.
